Thank you for visiting my website.

I am a Sociologist and Research Consultant specializing in social justice research, teaching and evaluation. 

My academic research focuses on social activism in response to borders and citizenship, as well as the politics of gender, race, and immigration status. I have published in top-ranked journals in my field, including Citizenship Studies, Signs, Social Politics, and the International Feminist Journal of Politics. Between 2017-2019, I conducted SSHRC-funded research on immigration detention as a postdoctoral fellow at Carleton University.

As a critical sociologist and educator, I engage in feminist intersectional and community-based approaches to research and pedagogy. 

I also bring eight years of experience in the community social services and public education sectors, where I contributed my skills and experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating skills-based and experiential learning for a diverse range of learners.

My core values include: social and environmental justice, empathy, pluralism, and human rights.
